Just wanted to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding [17th July 2010] , I know the crowd wasnt the easiest however so many people have told us how great you were. Stuart and I just wanted to express our gratitude for making the time to attend even though you had already had a commitment earlier in the day. Once again thanks take care and will be passing on how great you are to anyone who asks as well as recommending you to anyone we know.

Sorry I have not been in touch before, but we just wanted to say thank you so much for playing at our wedding at the [Miramar Hotel on Sunday, 23^rd May 2010.]

I really wanted to say though that we had so many comments on how well you played and you were just what we were hoping for so you pitched it perfectly – thank you.  We had a fantastic day and were so lucky with the weather, so no complaints from this end. As I am sure I said at the time, we are big fans of the flamenco style which you started off with and John is not an  easy guy to please when it comes to music and he was really impressed.

Hello Julian.

Thank you for your fantastic set at our wedding on the 29th August [2009]. We have been meaning to get in touch sooner, but who'd have though there would be so much to do AFTER a wedding! We loved the background music during the meal - it was great to have something that we could actually listen to, as well as creating a nice atmosphere, but still maintaining a low profile so that conversation could be made.

We were so pleased and excited by your version of our first dance - Everywhere. As you well know, it's not exactly a classic first dance number, but you managed to slow it down enough, without loosing the 'rockiness' completely. The rest of the set was great.

I have known Julian Ward for around two years when he started playing at the Captains Club Hotel, a chic boutique 4* hotel in Christchurch, Dorset. He is an accomplished guitarist/singer that fuses his music with the incredible scenery the hotel has to offer.

Julian played guitar and sang a variety of songs from his repertoire at my son's 21st Birthday party, creating a relaxing but sociable atmosphere for this intimate party of 28. The music and songs covered a wide range from popular and classical and was appreciated by the age group which ranged from 21-80. Julian has a great talent and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone arranging a party or function.

 Julian performed at our joint 30th birthday party and was outstanding.  He has a wonderful voice and is an extremely talented musician.  The atmosphere of the party was fantastic due to the ambience Julian created.  He had learnt several new songs at our request which was amazing and made us feel very special.  Many of our guests commented on how brilliant it was to have real live background music.   Julian's perfomances of 'Mr Bojangles' and 'Mustang Sally'  were superb, as was  the rest of his set. We would highly recommend Julian for parties and weddings and would definitely use him again

His interpretation of the work of late C18th Spanish composers through artists from the 50s, 60s to the present, reflects Julian's take on life; calm yet passionate.

His vocals are as good as any I have heard, and his repertoire is extensive. Julian responds to requests with ease. Blues, reggae, rock, soul, classical - all performed with sensitivity and mastery. I like it when he melts two songs together.

Whether his audience is in a school hall, underground bistro, Italian restaurant or riverside club, they are given a performance to remember.

I have seen Julian perform and I was stunned by his beautiful playing.   His repertoire ranges from popular easy listening to virtuoso classical pieces displaying accomplished technique and professional musicality of an incredibly high standard.

I have been privileged to watch and listen to Julian perform on several occasions and I always get completely absorbed by his exquisite guitar playing, be it popular classical pieces or more modern songs. He is an extremely accomplished musician with an excellent soulful voice with a great range that he can adapt to a wide choice of music.

 If you want to make a great occasion better, book Julian to play. In my opinion, he'll entertain you as well as Paul McCartney, but his rates are a great deal less!
